Submitting a Revision of Your Manuscript

The instructions on this page assume that you have already submitted a manuscript to TechPubs and it is posted to the web. There are four basic steps in submitting a revision of your manuscript:

  1. Change your title page
  2. Rename your electronic file
  3. Submit your files to TechPubs
  4. Notify TechPubs of your revision

 

These steps are described in more detail here:

  1. Change your title page
    Add the word "Revised" and the current month and year under SLAC document number in the upper right hand corner of your title page.
  2. Rename your electronic file
    Add the revision number to end of your filename. For example, slac-pub-10000Rev1.pdf or slac-pub-10000Rev2.pdf.
  3. Submit your files to TechPubs by using one of the following methods:
  4. Notify TechPubs of your revision
    Your name  
    Your e-mail address  
    Document number
    (SLAC-PUB-1234, SLAC-R-999, etc.)
    Submission method   I have FTP'd or copied the file to the Posting Inbox in AFS space
    I have e-mailed the files to you
    I have posted it on a website -- the URL is:
          
    I mailed an electronic copy to Sharon
    I dropped off an electronic copy to Sharon
    This revision is because of ...   Experimental, results, or theory changes: TechPubs will resubmit the document through the Technology Transfer Office and post revised version to the Web server.

    Typographic or formatting changes: TechPubs will update the file on Web server, our database, and provide the library and Archive Office with a revised version.
    Abstract Please use the abstract submitted previously (NO CHANGES)
